Onion

Today I called my neighbour and asked to borrow an onion. Of course, it’s not technically borrowing, since the onion will not be returned, but it somehow felt odd to ask if I could have an onion, although of course that’s exactly what ended up being.

I don’t think I’ve ever borrowed anything from a neighbour before- oh wait, that’s not true! I used to borrow Jonah’s waffle maker in dorm. There was a guy’s quad across the hall. It was so strange going in there to return it. We really are different species…

I should have brought him back some waffles. Oh hindsight, how cruel you are. Just went on facebook to see if we are friends, and got sucked into the vortex of looking at someone’s profile pictures.

There is value to sharing these small nothings from our lives. They’re what most of our lives are, so may as well make use of them.

P.S Just watched Superbad for the first time. Love is what I have for Judd Apatow and his cast and crew, of all films made and to be made. Perhaps one day I shall join them- if I ever lose enough weight to be considered suitable for the film industry. Blegh.
